Marvel’s ‘Blade’ Release Date Moved to 2024

Marvel Studios’ “Blade” has moved its release date to 2024.  The film will now release on September 6, 2024, back from its original November 3, 2023 release date.

Last month, it was reported that Bassam Tariq had exited as director of Marvel Studios’ “Blade.” Today it was announced that production on the project in Atlanta has been delayed as the search for a new director continues.

Mahershala Ali will play the iconic vampire hunter.  Delroy Lindo (The Harder They Fall, Da 5 Bloods) and Aaron Pierre (M. Night Shyamalan’s Old) also star.  Additionally, Milan Ray (The Wonder Years) has recently joined the cast along with Anthony Starr (The Boys) who will reportedly play the villain.

Stacy Osei-Kuffour writes the script and Marvel Studios CEO Kevin Feige is producing.

According to Next Best Pictures’ Will Mavity, Black Panther’s costume designer, Ruth E. Carter has also joined the project.

Marvel’s “Blade” is currently scheduled to hit theaters on September 6, 2024.
