Last July, during the Marvel Studios panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios, announced that “Daredevil: Born Again” an Original series starring Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio, would be coming to Disney+ in Spring 2024.

Cox originally played Matt Murdock/Daredevil in the Marvel series on Netflix from 2015 to 2018.  He also appeared in the spinoff series, The Defenders. Most recently his character had a cameo appearance in Marvel’s Spider-Man: No Way Home and She-Hulk Attorney at Law.

Vincent D’Onofrio who played Wilson Fisk in the original “Daredevil” series recently reprised his role as Kingpin, in the Disney+ series Hawkeye.  The two will also reprise their roles in the upcoming Echo series on Disney+ which was previously announced to premiere in 2023.

Sopranos prequel actor Michael Gandolfini (The Many Saints of Newark) has joined the cast of Born Again in a major role and Margarita Levieva (The Deuce) and Sandrine Holt (American Gigolo) have also boarded the series and could be playing love interests for the leads.  Nikki M. Filming on the project is expected to begin on March 6, 2023, and continue through November 15, 2023. It was previously revealed that the project will be filming under the working title “Out the Kitchen” under the production company Blind Faith Productions LLC.

According to a new report from Covered Geekly, crew members have started to arrive in New York ahead of filming.  The news comes from Twitter user @AndyBu31hn (Caro Andy), who seems to be one of the crew members working on “Daredevil: Born Again,” with a tweet originally written in Spanish that translates to “In a couple of weeks we start recording Born Again I will be in the project from start to finish God willing. So excited!!!!”.

Another report from Covered Geekly, also says Charlie Cox has been spotted in New York ahead of production.

The series will be written and executive produced by Covert Affairs creators Matt Corman and Chris Ord.
