Last July, during the Marvel Studios panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios, announced that “Daredevil: Born Again” an Original series starring Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio, would be coming to Disney+ in Spring 2024.

Cox originally played Matt Murdock/Daredevil in the Marvel series on Netflix from 2015 to 2018.  He also appeared in the spinoff series, The Defenders. Most recently his character had a cameo appearance in Marvel’s Spider-Man: No Way Home and also in She-Hulk Attorney at Law.

Vincent D’Onofrio who played Wilson Fisk in the original “Daredevil” series just recently reprised his role as Kingpin, in the Disney+ series Hawkeye.  The two will also reprise their roles in the upcoming Echo series on Disney+ which is set to premiere in Summer of 2023.

According to insider Daniel Richtman, “Daredevil: Born Again” will “likely” be TV-MA, which is the television equivalent of rated R. The former Netflix series is available to stream now on Disney+ and also carries the TV-MA rating.

According to The Illuminerdi, Born Again will begin filming in New York City in February next year and continue through December.  It was previously revealed that the project will be filming under the working title “Out the Kitchen” under the production company Blind Faith Productions LLC.

Not much is known about the new series however there are rumors that Elden Henson, who played Matt Murdock’s friend and colleague Foggy Nelson in Marvel’s Netflix series, is set to return for “Daredevil: Born Again,” but those rumors have not been confirmed.

Season 1 will consist of 18 episodes and will premiere on Disney+ in Spring 2024.
