Marvel’s ‘Echo’ & ‘Ironheart’ Series Set Production Dates

Marvel Studios has set production dates for two upcoming series for Disney+.  Murphy’s Multiverse is reporting that Echo is currently set for a January 2022 start of production and will be followed up in April by Ironheart.

Echo will be introduced in the new Hawkeye series on Disney+.  The deaf Native American character whose real name is Maya Lopez,  will be played by Alaqua Cox.  She has the ability to perfectly copy another person’s movements or fighting style, making her a formidable opponent on the battlefield. Not much is known about the series, but sources indicate Etan and Emily Cohen are attached to write and executive produce.

The following was provided about Ironheart at Disney’s Investor Day last December: Dominique Thorne is genius inventor Riri Williams in Ironheart, an Original Series about the creator of the most advanced suit of armor since Iron Man.  Recently, it was revealed that Chinaka Hodge will serve as head writer for the series (Snowpiercer).

The above production dates could change however if Echo does start production in January, it is possible it could arrive on Disney+ later next year.
