Production for the new Disney+ “Hawkeye” series is reportedly already underway.
Jeremy Renner, who plays the titular character, recently shared an Instagram post of himself in full make-up all beaten and bruised. You can see that pic below:
Chris Welch, who is editor of The Verge, also recently revealed filming would begin on the new Marvel series in downtown Brooklyn next week with the following Tweet:

In the above post, the working title for the series is referenced as “Anchor Point” which is the name of the Hawkeye story where Kate Bishop is introduced.
The new six-episode limited series will reportedly tell the story of Kate Bishop’s arrival in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Jeremy Renner will reprise his role as Clint Barton and actress Hailee Steinfeld is rumored to play Kate Bishop. Jonathan Igla (Mad Men, Pitch) is writing the series.
Recently, it was announced that Rhys Thomas (Saturday Night Live) as well as directing duo Bert and Bertie (Troop Zero) are set to direct the upcoming Marvel series for the streaming service.
“Hawkeye” has yet to set a release date, however many are speculating the series could debut on Disney+ sometime in 2022.
