Earlier this month, Disney+ revealed the new logo for Marvel’s upcoming “Ironheart” series coming to Disney+.
Not much is known about the new series but the show will feature Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams, a genius inventor who creates the most advanced suit of armor since Iron Man. Marvel’s Ironheart character follows Riri Williams, a 15-year old engineering genius attending Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Riri builds a suit based on Iron Man’s armor and takes up the name Ironheart. The character has appeared in some Marvel animated series including Spider-Man: Maximum Venom and Marvel Rising.
Earlier reports indicated that “Ironheart” was slated to begin production in April 2022 and according to a new report, it looks like the series is on track to meet that goal. The news comes from a post on Twitter that reveals a production grid from Production Weekly. You can see that tweet below:

While a specific date isn’t given, it looks like filming will begin late April in Chicago, a new detail that was not previously known.
A director or supporting cast has not been revealed yet however Chinaka Hodge (Snowpiercer) will serve as head writer for the series.
A Disney+ release date has not been announced yet for “Ironheart.”
