Last October, reports indicated that Marvel Comics villain Mephisto would appear in Marvel’s upcoming Disney+ series “Ironheart,” with Sasha Baron Coen (Borat) attached to the role. More recently, there is a new rumor which suggests that Sacha Baron Cohen will also play Mephisto for a Disney+ Special Presentation and could appear in Marvel’s upcoming Agatha: Coven of Chaos series for Disney+.
The news comes from insider Jeff Sneider of The Hot Mic podcast who says Marvel Studios’ Special Presentation centered around Mephisto is “shooting right now” on the set of Agatha: Coven of Chaos with Sacha Baron Cohen portraying the villain.
As always, since nothing has been confirmed by Disney or Marvel, we will treat this as a rumor for now.
Marvel Studios debuted their first “Special Presentation” with Werewolf By Night on October 7, 2022, and the Guardians of the Galaxy: Holiday Special was the second Marvel Special Presentation which was released last November on Disney+.
