Marvel’s upcoming “Secret Invasion” Disney+ series is currently filming in the UK. According to a new report from Halifax Courier, the production team has moved from London to resume filming in Halifax, England.
Halifax’s MP, Holly Lynch said the following:
“I confess to being a massive Marvel geek and so the prospect of filming taking place here in Halifax is incredibly exciting! It’s another chance to showcase Halifax to the world and once again demonstrate we can host massive productions like this. Whilst I am against second jobs for MPs, if they are in need of extras, I very much hope they let me know!”
The Original series stars Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Ben Mendelsohn as the Skrull Talos—characters who first met in “Captain Marvel.” The crossover comic event series showcases a faction of shape-shifting Skrulls who have been infiltrating Earth for years.
The series will also star Emilia Clarke, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Olivia Colman, Christopher McDonald and Killian Scott. It was also recently reported that Cobie Smulders will return as ex-SHIELD agent Maria Hill in the new series.
Kyle Bradstreet (Mr. Robot), will act as head writer and executive producer of the show. Thomas Bezucha and Ali Selim have signed on to direct.
“Secret Invasion” will reportedly be a six-episode event miniseries. A Disney+ premiere date has not been announced yet.
