Marvel Studios has several projects set to release on Disney+ this year including “Loki,” “What If,” “Hawkeye,” and “Ms Marvel.” We already know “Loki” will debut on the streamer June 9th and we know “What If” has a summer release time frame, but other than that, no exact details have been announced. However, in a recent article from Entertainment Weekly about what shows we can expect this summer, the outlet has “What If” highlighted for an August release.
“Loki” is scheduled to have six episodes which would have the finale release on July 14th which would make sense to give Marvel and Disney+ adequate time to promote the series.
The first season of “What If” will reportedly consist of 10 episodes and a second season is already in the works. The show is Marvel Studios’ first animated series and is based on the popular comic book series of the same name. Each episode will explore what might have happened if things had gone differently in each of the Marvel Studios films such as “What If Peggy Carter was given the Super Soldier Serum?” or “What If T’Chala was Starlord”?. The alternate tales will be narrated by Uatu, The Watcher (voiced by Jeffrey Wright).
