Nathan Lane has been locked in to star in Hulu’s upcoming comedy series “Only Murders In The Building”. Deadline is reporting that the actor will have a reurring role as a building resident and owner of a popular New York City grocery chain.
Lane will join previously announced cast members Selena Gomez, Steve Martin, Martin Short, Aaron Dominguez and Amy Ryan.
Lane most recently starred as Lewis Michenor in Showtime’s “Penny Dreadful: A City of Angels.” He is a six-time Tony nominee and three-time Tony winner for his performances in “Angels in America,” “The Producers” and “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.” Lane has received six Emmy nominations including three for his recurring role on ABC’s “Modern Family.”
The 10-episode series follows three strangers (Martin, Short and Gomez) who share an obsession with true crime and suddenly find themselves wrapped up in one.
The project hails from co-creators and writers Martin and John Hoffman (Grace & Frankie, Looking). The pair will executive produce along with Gomez, Short, This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman and Jess Rosenthal.
