Here’s a closer look at the photos.
Outlaw points out that the Imperial Guards are wearing similar uniforms to Orson Krennic in “Rogue One”. He also notes that the set design is similar to Canto Bight, the casino planet which Finn and Rose visited during “Star Wars: The Last Jedi”.
“Andor” follows the adventures of Rebel spy Cassian Andor during the formative years of the Rebellion five years prior to the events of “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.” The rousing spy thriller will explore tales filled with espionage and daring missions to restore hope to a galaxy in the grip of a ruthless Empire.
The previously announced cast includes Deigo Luna (Andor), Genevieve O’Reilly (Mon Mothma), Jimmy Smits (Bail Organa), and Alistair Petrie (General Draven).
Newcomers to the series in currently unknown roles include Adria Arjona (6 Underground), Stellan Skarsgard (Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End, Good Will Hunting), Denise Gough (Collett, Angels in America), and Kyle Soller (Anna Karenina, The Titan).
Directors Ben Caron and Susanna White have signed on to direct the project.
The series is currently in production and slated to finish shooting this summer.
“Andor” will reportedly consist of 12 episodes and debut on Disney+ sometime in 2022.
