With only ten days left before the premiere of “Ahsoka” on Disney+, a fresh teaser trailer hints at a cameo from Anakin Skywalker, portrayed by Hayden Christensen.
In the initial moments, after Baylan Skoll’s narration, a scene featuring Anakin from the fifth episode of “Obi-Wan Kenobi” is shown, along with what appears to be new dialogue.
You can watch the teaser below:
Last year, The Hollywood Reporter announced that the actor would reprise his role as Anakin, joining Rosario Dawson’s Ahsoka in the anticipated series.
It is currently unclear how Skywalker/Vader, will fit into “Ahsoka,” since the events in the series are set to take place 5 years after Return of the Jedi, which would place the timeline after Vader’s death. It is possible the character could return for flashback scenes or as a force ghost.
Christensen played Anakin Skywalker in 2002’s Star Wars: Attack of the Clones and 2005’s Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. He also be returned to the role in Disney+’s Obi-Wan Kenobi series starring alongside Ewan McGregor.
“Ahsoka” will consist of 8 episodes and debut exclusively on Disney+ in August 2023.
