According to a new rumor, a new “The Mandalorian” spin-off project is currently in the works for Disney+. The news comes from insider Daniel Richtman via Patreon, who says The Mandalorian producers Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni are in the early stages of developing yet another spin-off series that will be connected to the MandoVerse. The project is currently codenamed “Ghost Track 17.” There are no specific details regarding the contents of the series nor the exact time period in which it will take place.
As always, since nothing has been announced by Lucasfilm or Disney, we will treat this as a rumor for now.
“The Mandalorian” has already spawned other spin-offs including “The Book of Boba Fett” which is streaming now on Disney+ and “Ahsoka” which is set to release on Disney+ in 2023.
Season 3 of “The Mandalorian” will premiere on March 1, 2023 on Disney+. In Season 3, The journeys of the Mandalorian through the Star Wars galaxy continue. Once a lone bounty hunter, Din Djarin has reunited with Grogu. Meanwhile, the New Republic struggles to lead the galaxy away from its dark history. The Mandalorian will cross paths with old allies and make new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together.
The first two seasons of “The Mandalorian” are available to stream now on Disney+.
