Owen Wilson Confirms ‘Loki’ Season 2 To Begin Filming Soon

Disney announced back in July that Marvel’s “Loki” series would return to Disney+ for a second season and it was also recently revealed that production on the second season will reportedly begin this summer.

Owen Wilson, who played Mobius in the first season of “Loki,” recently confirmed that his character would be returning for the second season and that filming would begin very soon.  Wilson shared the news when answering fan questions in a Wired video which you can see below.

“‘Is Owen Wilson coming back to Loki? Um… yes. He is coming back to Loki, and I think we’re going to begin filming that pretty soon. I had a great time working on Loki. I really enjoyed Tom Hiddleston and all the people on that.”

Gugu Mbatha-Raw, who played Ravonna Renslayer in Season 1, also recently confirmed to GMA that she will be returning for Season 2.

Season 1 of Marvel Studios’ “Loki” features the God of Mischief as he steps out of his brother’s shadow in a new series that takes place after the events of “Avengers: Endgame.” Tom Hiddleston returns as the title character, joined by Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku and Richard E. Grant. Kate Herron directs “Loki,” and Michael Waldron is head writer.

So far, very few details have been revealed about “Loki” Season 2 however Kate Herron will not return to direct the second season and a replacement has not been announced yet.

No release date has been given for “Loki” season 2, but it’s expected we’ll see it arrive on Disney+ sometime in 2023.

Season 1 of “Loki” is available to stream now on Disney+.
