Matthew Robinson will write the screenplay for the upcoming Star Wars movie Rogue Squadron.
Patty Jenkins, director of the Wonder Woman franchise, will direct the feature film which is set to release in theaters on December 22, 2023.
Plot details are not known at this time, however, the movie will loosely be based on the “X-wing” novels and follow fighter pilots across the Star Wars universe.
Robinson made his screenwriting debut in 2009 with The Invention of Lying, which he also co-directed with Ricky Gervais. He has also worked on several other films including Love and Monsters and Live Die Repeat and Repeat.
Filming on Rogue Squadron is expected to begin next year.
