“Percy Jackson And The Olympians” Disney+ Release Window Revealed

Filming is currently underway for the upcoming Disney+ Original series “Percy Jackson and the Olympians.”

Based on Disney Hyperion’s best-selling book series by award-winning author Rick Riordan, “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” tells the fantastical story of a 12-year-old modern demigod, Percy Jackson, who’s just coming to terms with his newfound divine powers when the sky god Zeus accuses him of stealing his master lightning bolt. With help from his friends Grover and Annabeth, Percy must embark on an adventure of a lifetime to find it and restore order to Olympus.

Walker Scobell, who will play the titular character, recently spoke with GoErie and said that the series will likely arrive in late 2023 or early 2024.

This also matches what Rick Riordan, the book series author, said about a potential release date:

Given all this, I think the most likely air date will probably be early 2024. Again, that’s just me guessing. The actual release dates are determined by the studio and the streaming service, and have to take in hundreds of other factors like the release schedule for all Disney+ shows, timing for publicity, etc., etc.

At D23 earlier this year, Disney released a short teaser trailer for the upcoming series which you can watch below:

While we still don’t have an exact release date, it does appear the series will be released in late 2023 or early 2024 on Disney+.
