A Disney+ series based on Pixar’s “Elemental” film could be in the works.
The news comes from Puck’s Podcast, where Jeff Bock from Exhibitor Relations revealed that Pixar is creating an “Elemental” series for Disney+, and maybe even a sequel is in development. It’s currently unclear if the series would be in the form of animated shorts or a full-length series.
As always, since nothing has been confirmed by Disney, we will treat this as a rumor for now.
Disney and Pixar’s “Elemental” feature film is set in Element City, where fire-, water-, land- and air-residents live together. The story introduces Ember, a tough, quick-witted and fiery young woman, whose friendship with a fun, sappy, go-with-the-flow guy named Wade challenges her beliefs about the world they live in.
Directed by Peter Sohn, produced by Denise Ream, and featuring the voices of Leah Lewis and Mamoudou Athie as Ember and Wade, respectively.
