Possible ‘WandaVision’ Release Date Revealed

Disney recently shared the first trailer and official images for the upcoming Marvel series “WandaVision”, starring Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany.

The series was originally scheduled to release in December 2020, but due to COVID causing issues with production, it was unknown if Disney would be able to keep to that timeline. There were plenty of rumors that “WandaVison” would be delayed until 2021.

Disney hasn’t officially confirmed a release date for ‘WandaVision’ other than late 2020.

Murphys Multiverse recently uncovered some new evidence which was discovered by looking at the source code on the landing page for “WandaVision” on Disney+. As you can see in the below image, the code suggests that “WandaVision” will be released on Thanksgiving weekend, November 27th, 2020.

The source code was also checked for “The Mandalorian” and the release date appeared in the same place and included an accurate release date of October 30, 2020. This would lead us to believe that this simply isn’t a placeholder date. In addition, until the trailer was released, no date was listed in the source code.

As the second season of “The Mandalorian” is releasing on October 30, 2020, and with a potential “WandaVision” release on November 27, 2020, that would mean a few weeks of overlap for two major series on Disney+.

This would definitely be unusual, and many were expecting “WandaVision” to debut a week after the final episode of “The Mandalorian”, which would mean a Christmas Day release date for “WandaVision.”

We wouldn’t be too surprised to see Disney release “WandaVision” over Thanksgiving weekend, with the Friday falling perfectly in-line with a typical Disney+ new content release day. After all, November is a huge month for Disney+ as millions of annual subscriptions will be up for renewal so it’s likely Disney will want a very strong month.

Until we hear something official from Disney, you probably shouldn’t save November 27, 2020, in your calendar just yet, but we know first-hand that source code information can prove to be very accurate.
