Ralph Ineson Boards Marvel’s ‘The Fantastic Four’ as Galactus

Ralph Ineson has joined Marvel Studios’ highly anticipated upcoming film “The Fantastic Four” which is set to hit theaters on July 25, 2025. The British actor will play the antagonist Galactus.

According to THRGalactus is an intergalactic being who eats the life force of planets. In the Marvel comics, Galactus, created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, has appeared as a towering human-like figure. The character made his big screen debut in 2007’s Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, which portrayed him in the form of a CGI-generated cosmic cloud. 

Plot details for the film are under wraps.

The recently announced cast includes Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards (aka Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm (aka the Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm (aka the Human Torch) and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm (aka the Thing).

Additionally,Julia Garner will play Shalla-Bal, a version of Silver Surfer from the comics and Paul Walter Hauser and John Malkovich (The New Look) have joined in mystery roles.

Matt Shakman (WandaVision) will direct the project currently in pre-production at Pinewood Studios in England. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige will produce.

Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer penned the script.

“The Fantastic Four” will reportedly shoot this summer in London.

Ineson is best known for genre work such as ‘The Witch’ and ‘Game of Thrones,’ Harry Potter movies and the recent horror prequel The First Omen.
