Rob Simonsen To Score Marvel’s ‘Deadpool 3’

Composer Rob Simonsen will be scoring Marvel’s upcoming “Deadpool 3” movie.  Simonsen has previously worked on Ghostbusters: AfterlifeFoxcatcherThe WhaleThe Way Back(500) Days of Summer, and Nerve.

In “Deadpool 3,” a weary Wolverine finds himself recovering from his injuries when he comes across a loudmouth Deadpool who has time traveled forward to heal his greatest pal in the hopes to befriend the wild beast and to team up to take down a foe they both have in common.

Ryan Reynolds will star and Hugh Jackman has been confirmed to return as Wolverine.  Emma Corrin (The Crown) and Matthew Macfadyen (Succession) have also joined the project.

Recently, it was announced that Morena Baccarin and Stefan Kapicic will also reprise their roles as Vanessa and Colossus, respectively, in the upcoming “Deadpool 3.”  It was also recently announced that Karan Soni and Leslie Uggams would return as Dopinder and Blind Al, respectively, from the first two films and Brianna Hildebrand and Shioli Kutsuna are set to return as Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Negasonic Teenage Warhead’s girlfriend Yukio.  Additionally, Rob Delaney will return to portray Peter who was first introduced in “Deadpool 2” and Jennifer Garner will return as Elektra from 2003’s 20th Century Fox’s Daredevil.

Shawn Levy will direct.  Paul Wernick & Rhett Reese are returning to pen the script along with Zeb Wells. Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin wrote a previous draft.   Kevin Feige will produce along with Shawn Levy and Ryan Reynolds.

Recent rumors indicate Owen Wilson will reprise his “Loki” role as Time Variance Authority Agent Mobius in “Deadpool 3” however nothing has been confirmed.  Additional rumors suggest several X-Men characters will appear as well as well as Ben Affleck returning as Daredevil however those rumors have not been confirmed.

“Deadpool 3” arrives in theaters on May 3, 2024.   “Deadpool,” and “Deadpool 2” are available to stream now on Disney+.
