According to a new report from Geekosity, Marvel is currently working on a Magneto series for Disney+. The project is said to be in the very early stages of development and hasn’t been greenlit yet.
Ever since Disney bought out 20th Century Fox in 2019, Marvel fans have been wondering when they can see Fantastic Four and X-Men incorporated into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We already know a new Fantastic Four film has been confirmed by Kevin Feige and Jon Watts, who directed Spider-Man: Far From Home will direct the movie. If the above rumor is correct, then we can expect some new content from the mutants too.
Magneto is considered one of the most iconic villains in comic book history. The new series is said to be a clean slate and origin story for the character unconnected to any previous movies or TV series. The show would also reportedly include Magneto’s daughter, Lorna Dane, a.k.a. Polaris.
Since nothing has been confirmed by Disney or Marvel, we will treat this as a rumor for now.
Disney Plus Informer will announce any new details on this story when and if they become available.
