New casting details have been revealed for Marvel’s upcoming “Loki” series for Disney+.
Recently, Amazon Prime’s “Utopia” actress, Sasha Lane gave an interview with Golden Globes that confirms she will appear in the new “Loki” series. You can read the opening statement from the interview below:
Lane made her film debut in the award-winning movie, American Honey (2016), starring opposite Shia LaBeouf and Riley Keough, after being spotted on a Miami beach by the film’s director, Andrea Arnold. She followed up with roles in Hearts Beat Loud, opposite Nick Offerman, and The Miseducation of Cameron Post, Hellboy, and will next appear in the superhero series, Loki, starring Tom Hiddleston.
In the new Marvel Studios series, Tom Hiddleston returns as the titular character Loki, the Asgardian god of mischief and everyone’s favorite Marvel villain, in stories that take place after the events of “Avengers: Endgame.”
Other actors who have been confirmed by Marvel/Disney to star in “Loki” include Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Owen Wilson, Sophia Di Martino, Cailey Fleming and Richard E. Grant all in unknown roles.
Kate Herron (Daybreak) will direct the series. Michael Waldron (Rick & Morty) wrote and will serve as the showrunner on the series.
“Loki” currently has a target release date of early 2021 on Disney+. It is unknown at this time if that will be delayed.
