Sasheer Zamata (Saturday Night Live) has reportedly been cast in Marvel’s “Agatha: Coven of Chaos” in a recurring role.
The Disney+ Original series will star Kathryn Hahn as her character from WandaVision. Jac Schaefer returns as executive producer and head writer.
Not many other details are known about the project however a fellow WandaVision star will reportedly be returning for the series. Emma Caulfield, who played Sarah Proctor, aka Dottie Jones has been confirmed to appear in the upcoming series. Joe Locke will reportedly star as a villain in the series and Aubrey Plaza (The White Lotus) has been cast in an unknown role. Additionally, Ali Ahn (Raising Dion) and Maria Dizzia (The Staircase) will reportedly play witches in the upcoming series.
Deadline also reports that Eric André recently booked an episode of the show.
According to The Illuminerdi, creator Jac Schaeffer will direct at least one episode of the show and Gandja Monteiro (The Chi, Brand New Cherry Flavor) is directing at least one episode of the show as well.
According to Production List, “Agatha: Coven of Chaos” is set to start filming in Atlanta, GA, on December 5. The series will be working under the title of “My Pretty.”
Marvel’s “Agatha: Coven of Chaos” will consist of 9 episodes and is scheduled to release on Disney+ in Winter 2023.
Per Deadline, actor and comedian Zamata is known for her four-year stint on Saturday Night Live. She recently wrapped two seasons on Hulu’s Woke and can currently be seen on ABC’s Home Economics.
