Hollywood Records will release the soundtrack album for Searchlight Pictures’ film “Chevalier” on Friday, April 21, 2023, the same day the film will release in US theaters. The movie will release in cinemas in the United Kingdom on June 9, 2023.
Per Film Music Reporter, the album features the film’s original score composed by Kris Bowers (King Richard, Green Book, Bridgerton, Dear White People, Space Jam: A New Legacy, When They See Us). Also included are several pieces by the titular composer Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges, as well as tracks by Michael Abels (Us, Get Out, Nope) who was responsible for the movie’s on-screen musical performances and also created original works inspired by Chevalier’s remaining compositions.
The soundtrack will be released digitally on several platforms including Amazon and Spotify.

Inspired by the incredible true story of composer Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges. The illegitimate son of an African slave and a French plantation owner, Bologne (Kelvin Harrison Jr. in a tour de force performance) rises to improbable heights in French society as a celebrated violinist-composer and fencer, complete with an ill-fated love affair and a falling out with Marie Antoinette (Lucy Boynton) and her court.
Cast for the film includes Minnie Driver, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Samara Weaving, Alex Fitzalan, and Lucy Boynton.
Stephen Williams (Watchmen) is directing from an original script by Stefani Robinson (Atlanta). Producers are Ed Guiney and Andrew Lowe at Element Pictures; Stefani Robinson; and Dianne McGunigle. At Searchlight, overseeing are Director of Production Zahra Phillips and Creative Executive Cornelia Burleigh.
