‘Spider-Man: Freshman Year’ Gets Disney+ Release Update

Last summer, during Marvel Studios’ Animation Panel at San Diego Comic-Con, it was announced that “Spider-Man: Freshman Year,” an Original series, will begin streaming in 2024 on Disney+.

“Spider-Man: Freshman Year” is an animated series that follows Peter Parker on his way to becoming Spider-Man in the MCU, with a journey unlike we’ve ever seen and a style that celebrates the character’s early comic book roots. Executive producer Jeff Trammel serves as head writer.

The series is reportedly set before the events of Captain America: Civil War.  Doctor Strange will appear in the upcoming animated series along with Daredevil, voiced by Charlie Cox.  It is also rumored that Vincent D’Onofrio is set to reprise his role in Daredevil as Wilson Fisk a.k.a. Kingpin in the upcoming animated series.

According to a new report from inside scooper KC Walsh, “Spider-Man: Freshman Year” will release on Disney+ in late 2024.

As always since nothing has been confirmed by Marvel or Disney, we will treat this as a rumor for now.

A second season of the series has already been greenlit titled “Spider-Man: Sophomore Year.”
