Today, at the D23 Expo, Disney announced that the second season of the animated series “Star Wars: The Bad Batch” will begin streaming on Disney+ on January 4, 2023, with the first two episodes. New episodes will then release weekly after. Season 2 was previously set to release on September 28, 2022.
“Star Wars: The Bad Batch” follows the elite and experimental clones of the Bad Batch (first introduced in “The Clone Wars”) as they find their way in a rapidly changing galaxy in the immediate aftermath of the Clone War. Members of Bad Batch—a unique squad of clones who vary genetically from their brothers in the Clone Army—each possess a singular exceptional skill that makes them extraordinarily effective soldiers and a formidable crew.
In Season 2, months have passed since the events on Kamino and the Bad Batch continue their journey navigating the Empire after the fall of the Republic. They will cross paths with friends and foes, both new and familiar, as they take on a variety of thrilling mercenary missions that will take them to unexpected and dangerous new places.
Dee Bradley Baker and Michelle Ang will reportedly be returning to their roles for the second season.
The second season of “Star Wars: The Bad Batch” consists of 16 episodes.
