Following the Season 2 finale of The Mandalorian, it was revealed that The Book of Boba Fett would be coming to Disney+ in December 2021. The new stand-alone series will star Temuera Morrison (Boba Fett) and Ming-Na Wen (Fennec Shand) as well as be executive produced by Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, and Rober Rodriguez.
Not too many details have been reported on the new series, but Bespin Bulletin is reporting that filming is beginning to wrap up. There are reports that the sets have been taken down at the train yard location in Los Angeles. This is the same location that was used to film some scenes in the first two seasons of The Mandalorian.
Filming could still be taking place inside “The Volume”, which is the virtual studio used for many of the elaborate scenes. Other sources indicate that work on production “have really ramped up to meet deadlines, many of which are for this [April].”
Plot details are scarce for the Boba Fett series, however, there are rumors Din Djarin could make a cameo appearance as well as Migs Mayfeld, Cobb Vanth and Greef Karga.
Filming for Season 3 of The Mandalorian is scheduled to begin after The Book of Boba Fett wraps up filming.
