Marvel’s “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier” has been crowned the most-watched streaming series throughout the month of April. The Disney+ action-adventure show beat out several other competing series including Netflix’s crime thriller The Serpent, the Jamie Foxx sitcom Dad Stop Embarrassing Me!, the Sherlock Holmes spinoff The Irregulars and Amazon’s horror anthology Them.
Data analytics firm TVision provided the numbers which saw panel members watch “FATWS” nearly 40 times as much as the average TV series the analytics firm measured in April. TVision data is used by major networks and streaming services to understand viewer behavior, for detailed competitive intelligence, and to inform ad sales initiatives.
Disney+ announced in March that “FAWS” was its biggest ever streaming series premiere. “FAWS” marks the second Marvel Cinematic Universe Disney+ series following “WandaVision” which also snagged high ratings.
These numbers prove to be good news for the streamer who has a number of other Marvel series ready to roll out by the end of the year including Loki, What If…?, Ms. Marvel and Hawkeye.
