The Guardians of the Galaxy to Appear in ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’

The Guardians of the Galaxy are set to appear in Marvel’s new Thor: Love and Thunder film! The news was confirmed by Vin Diesel who provides the voice of Groot in the Guardians of the Galaxy films.

After the humorous interactions between Thor Odinson and the Guardians of the Galaxy characters in Avengers: Endgame, mainly Rocket Raccoon and Groot, Marvel fans began to speculate if we would see these heroes team up again.  After all, Avengers: Endgame ended with the God of Thunder leaving Earth with the Guardians in search of Gamora.

The first rumors suggested Thor would appear in Guardians of the Galaxy 3, but now according to Vin Diesel, it seems it will be the other way around.

“I am waiting and excited for my friend James Gunn to knock this next one out of the park,” Diesel said during an interview to promote his upcoming film, Bloodshot. “He took The Suicide Squad so he’s about to embark on it. Thor will also, the director talked to me about Thor [Love and Thunder] will incorporate some of the Guardians of the Galaxy.” Vin Diesel immediately caught his slip and played it off with, “That’ll be very interesting, nobody knows, maybe I shouldn’t have said anything.”

Director Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok) returns to direct alongside stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tessa Thompson as Valkryie, and Natalie Portman, as Jane Foster, who will become the Goddess of Thunder.

Tessa Thompson recently made a similar slip-up when she shared that Christian Bale will be the big villain for Love and Thunder.

Disney and Marvel have not made any comments on the matter yet.  We’ll keep you updated with any additional details.
