The Mandalorian Season 3 starts with incredible action, fan-favourite characters, and adorable moments with Grogu. This review is based on the first two episodes of The Mandalorian Season 3.
Dubbed the best Star Wars series, The Mandalorian continues to prove itself with a phenomenal beginning to its third season. Fans are quickly welcomed back into this world, and it only takes seconds before they realise just how much they missed Grogu, Din and the rest of their favourite characters that show up along the way.
This season starts incredibly strong. Not only does it get straight into the action, but it also sets up an interesting story. We all know that Din has lost his honour because he removed his helmet. He is told that he is no longer a Mandalorian, so he is determined to go to Mandalore, bathe in the living waters, and be welcomed back into the clan.
Episode 1 sees the start of this journey, meeting up with old friends and making some new enemies along the way. Despite there being a lot of set-up in episode 1, there are some great stand-alone moments as well.
There is, of course, humour, delivered mostly by Grogu, multiple action sequences and a score that will give you Goosebumps. But it isn’t all fun and games; there are some high stakes on Din’s journey, which bring several cheer-worthy moments. Fans will be on the edge of their seats as they wait to see what happens next.
Pacing has always been something that The Mandalorian has been great at, and the first two episodes flow perfectly together, with side stories that make up the overall story arc of the series.
If the first two episodes are anything to go by, this series will live up to the first two. It certainly wastes no time in getting started, and of course, there are the usual Easter eggs and references to the wider Star Wars universe.
Episode 1 of the second season of The Mandalorian is available to stream exclusively on Disney+ now. New episodes release weekly on Wednesdays.
