Back in May, Jon Favreau confirmed with Cinema Blend that he had begun writing “The Mandalorian” Season 4 and now we may know when production will begin on the project. According to a new listing in Production Weekly, the fourth season of the Star Wars series is scheduled to begin filming next month. Bespin Bulletin points out that “The Mandalorian” Season 3 began filming at Manhattan Beach Studios in late September 2021, with filming running until late March of this year.
Season 3 of “The Mandalorian” will debut on Disney+ in February 2023 and will see The Mandalorian and Grogu continue their journey and Katie Sackhoff will reprise her role as Bo-Katan Kryze.
Any details for the upcoming season have been kept tightly under wraps. Pedro Pascal, who plays Din Djarin in the series, has teased that we will not only see familiar faces in Season 3 but lots of new faces as well.
It was recently revealed that Christopher Lloyd has joined the cast in a guest-starring role, however, no further details have been revealed for his character.
There are several rumors for Season 3 including the return of IG-11 who will reportedly act as a “mech” for baby Grogu. Jim O’Heir from Parks and Recreation will also reportedly appear in the upcoming season.
A Disney+ release date for Season 4 of “The Mandalorian” has not been announced yet.
The first two seasons of “The Mandalorian” are available to stream now on Disney+.
