‘The Mandalorian’ Wins First Emmy for Disney+

“The Mandalorian” has earned its first Emmy Award for Disney+.  The new series garnered 15 overall nominations and picked up five statuettes on the third night of the Creative Arts Emmys.

“The Mandalorian” ended up taking home special visual effects, sound editing, sound mixing, production design and cinematography awards.

“The Mandalorian” is expected to collect more Emmys on Thursday and Saturday’s Creative Arts Emmys ceremony as well as Sunday’s big ceremony.

“The Mandalorian” is also up for Outstanding Drama Series as well as Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance for Taika Waitti’s role as droid IG-11 and Outstanding Guest Actor In A Drama Series for Giancarlo Esposito’s performance as Moff Gideon.
