‘The Sandlot’ Removed From Disney+ (US)

“The Sandlot” has been removed again from Disney+ in the United States.

The removal came as a bit of a surprise since Disney+ does not announce which titles will be leaving every month like other streaming services such as Netflix and Hulu.  The film was just added back to the Disney+ library in January 2022.

The film is expected to return to Disney+ when contracts expire that were made before The Walt Disney Company purchased 20th Century Fox. “The Sandlot” is still available on Disney+ internationally.

When fifth-grader Scotty Smalls moves with his parents to a new town, he strikes out with the neighborhood kids, especially at baseball. But soon, Scotty embarks on a magical summer of first kisses, hilarious adventures and encounters with the scary “beast” behind the left field fence. Co-starring Karen Allen, Denis Leary and James Earl Jones, The Sandlot is major-league fun for the whole family!
