20th Century Studios Marvel movie, “The Wolverine” from 2013 has been removed from Disney+ in the United States. The film was just made available on the streaming service in September. The film is still available on Disney+ in other countries.
The removal came as a bit of a surprise since Disney+ does not announce which titles will be leaving every month like Netflix and Hulu does.
Based on the celebrated comic book, this epic action adventure takes Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world he faces unexpected and deadly foes in a life or death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than we have ever seen him before.
“The Wolverine” stars Hugh Jackman, Will Yun Lee, Tao Okamoto. It was directed by James Mangold and written by Christopher McQuarrie, Mark Bomback, and Scott Frank
