‘Toy Story 5’ Release Date Announced

Disney has announced that Pixar’s “Toy Story 5” will arrive in theaters on June 19, 2026.

So far, very few details have been announced, but Tim Allen and Tom Hanks are expected to reprise their roles as Buzz and Woody, respectively.

TheDisInsider.com recently shared some new rumors and details that they’ve heard about Toy Story 5.

The outlet states that the original characters, who parted ways with Woody and Bo Peep in Toy Story 4, are set to reunite for a new adventure. This aligns with expectations as the majority of the original cast is anticipated to reprise their roles.

Pixar CEO Pete Doctor provided some insight into the film’s direction in an interview with The Wrap, stating, “I think it’ll be surprising. It’s got some really cool stuff that you haven’t seen before.”

The outlet also disclosed that Andy will be featured as an adult, with his new family playing a role in the storyline.

While Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head are expected to return, it’s worth noting that the original voice actor for Mr. Potato Head, Don Rickles, passed away in 2017. Estelle Harris, who voiced Mrs. Potato Head, passed away in 2022. According to TheDisInsider.com, both characters will be recast for “Toy Story 5.”

Randy Newman is also anticipated to return as the film’s composer.
