Nic Pizzolatto has signed on to write the script for Marvel Studios’ upcoming film “Blade.” He is currently working on a draft script by Michael Starrbury, known for his work on “When They See Us.” Nic has already been working on the screenplay for several weeks.
Nic Pizzolatto has previously collaborated with Mahershala Ali on the acclaimed HBO series “True Detective.
Mahershala Ali will play the iconic vampire hunter. Delroy Lindo (The Harder They Fall, Da 5 Bloods) and Aaron Pierre (M. Night Shyamalan’s Old) also star. Additionally, Mia Goth has joined the cast along with Milan Ray (The Wonder Years) and Anthony Starr (The Boys) who will reportedly play the villain.
Filming on the project will reportedly begin soon.
Marvel’s “Blade” is currently scheduled to hit theaters on September 6, 2024.
