‘WandaVision’ Director Matt Shakman Rumored To Direct Marvel’s ‘Fantastic Four’

According to The Direct, WandaVision director Matt Shakman is signed on to direct Marvel Studios’ Fantastic Four, hitting theaters on November 8, 2024.  Shakman will replace Spider-Man: No Way Home director Jon Watts who left the project in April 2022.

As always. since nothing has been announced by Disney or Marvel, we will treat this as a rumor for now.

Not much is known about the “Fantastic Four” reboot except characters Reed Richards (Mister Fantastic), Sue Storm (Invisible Woman), Johnny Storm (Human Torch) and Ben Grimm (The Thing) will return.

Moon Knight producers Grant Curtis and Nick Pepin will also serve as producers on the new “Fantastic Four” film.

It’s believed that Disney will announce the cast and director of the “Fantastic Four” reboot at the D23 Expo 2022 which takes place September 9-11 in Anaheim, California.

Shakman’s additional credits include directing episodes of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, FargoGame of Thrones, and Succession.
