Production on Marvel’s “Agatha: Coven of Chaos” is ramping up and a new director has reportedly been attached to the project.
The news comes from Production Weekly which reveals Wednesday director Gandja Monteiro is part of the crew and will helm at least one episode. Monteiro directed episodes 5 and 6 of Netflix’s new hit series Wednesday. The report was also shared by Twitter user “Scarlet Witch Updates” which you can see below:
The filming of WandaVision spin-off Agatha: Coven of Chaos will officially begin the first week of January!
Wednesday episode 5-6 director Gandja Monteiro is listed as director while Jac Schaeffer is listed as writer/director.

As always, since nothing has been confirmed by Marvel or Disney, we will treat this as a rumor for now.
The Disney+ Original series will star Kathryn Hahn as her character from WandaVision. Jac Schaefer returns as executive producer and head writer.
Not many other details are known about the project however a fellow WandaVision star will reportedly be returning for the series. Emma Caulfield, who played Sarah Proctor, aka Dottie Jones has been confirmed to appear in the upcoming series. Joe Locke will reportedly star as a villain in the series and Aubrey Plaza (The White Lotus), Sasheer Zamata(Saturday Night Live), and Eric André have been cast in unknown roles. Additionally, Ali Ahn (Raising Dion) and Maria Dizzia (The Staircase) will reportedly play witches in the upcoming series.
Filming will reportedly begin the first week of January and the series will be working under the title of “My Pretty.”
Marvel’s “Agatha: Coven of Chaos” will consist of 9 episodes and is scheduled to release on Disney+ in Winter 2023.
