When Is ‘Grown-ish’ Season 6 Coming To Disney Plus?

When is “Grown-ish” Season 6 Coming To Disney Plus?

The good news is that “Grown-ish” Season 6 will be coming to Disney+.  Previous seasons of “Grown-ish” are available to stream on Disney+ in many countries including the US, the UK, Canada and more.   The specific timing of the sixth season’s debut along with its release strategy will vary depending on the country. In the United States, the series concluded its fifth season run on Freeform in March 2023 and Season 5 will be making its debut on Disney+ in the US on July 19, 2023, approximately 4 months after the Season 5 finale on Freeform.  We’ll be sure to update this article when a release date has been announced for Season 6 on Disney+ for each country.

The sixth and final season of “Grown-ish” premiered on Freeform on Wednesday, June 28, 2023.  New episodes release on Freeform every Wednesday at 10 pm ET.  The sixth season will be divided into 2 parts with the first half debuting this summer and the second half arriving in January 2024.

An exact episode count for Season 6 has not been confirmed, however, Shahidi said the final season would see the airing of the show’s 100th episode. With 87 episodes having aired so far, the last season will have 13 episodes at the very least.

What Is “Grown-ish” Season 6 About?

From black-ish executive producer, Kenya Barris, comes a contemporary take on the current issues facing both students and administrators in the world of higher education. Yara Shahidi portrays Zoey – Dre (Anthony Anderson) and Rainbow’s (Tracee Ellis Ross) popular, entitled, stylish and socially active 17-year-old daughter — as she heads off to college and quickly discovers that not everything goes her way once she leaves the nest.

After following in his big sister Zoey’s footsteps and taking on her alma mater, Andre Johnson Jr., aka Junior (Marcus Scribner), makes moves to step out of his sister’s shadow and become a big man on campus.

The series stars Marcus Scribner, Trevor Jackson, Diggy Simmons, Daniella Perkins, Justine Skye and Tara Raani.

Season 6 guest stars include Lil Yachty, Anderson .Paak, The Free Nationals, Kelly Rowland, Omarion, Latto and NLE Choppa.
