In April 2020, Disney greenlit a straight-to-series order for a spinoff of How I Met Your Mother titled How I Met Your Father. The series was quickly picked up for a second season.
The second season will be released in late January 2023 on Hulu in the United States and on Disney+ in some regions, but unfortunately, not all of them.
When will the ‘How I Met Your Father’ season 2 be coming out on Disney+? Read on for all the details!
‘How I Met Your Father’ Season 2 Hulu Release Date
Disney has confirmed that How I Met Your Father season two will be arriving on Hulu in the United States on Tuesday, January 24, 2023. The series will release a new episode each week, followed by a new episode every Tuesday. The series consists of 20 episodes, split into two parts.
‘How I Met Your Father’ Season 2 Disney Plus Release Date
Disney has confirmed that ‘How I Met Your Father’ season 2 will be released on Disney+ beginning January 24, 2023, in Canada, Australia, New Zealand and more. However, unfortunately, this doesn’t include the United Kingdom and many other European countries.
Disney has confirmed many of its major arrivals for Disney+ in February 2023 for the United Kingdom and Ireland, which didn’t include ‘How I Met Your Father’ season 2. Unless Disney decides to make a surprise announcement, which isn’t totally out of the question, it doesn’t look like the series will arrive in February 2022.
Disney has delayed many originals in recent months, which is believed to be due to delays with international dubbing, which is confusing for English-speaking countries such as the UK. However, due to how Disney is organized in Europe, many countries are grouped together regardless of language.
If we had to guess, we might see ‘How I Met Your Father’ season 2 released on Disney+ sometime in April 2023.
We’ll be sure to update this article once Disney has confirmed a release date for ‘How I Met Your Father’ season 2.

Pam Fryman, who directed all but twelve episodes of How I Met Your Mother, has been tapped to executive produce and direct the pilot episode.
