Will There Be A Crater 2?
As of now, there is no official word from Disney indicating whether there will be a “Crater 2” for Disney+.
Without venturing into spoiler territory, it’s apparent from Crater’s conclusion that there’s potential for further adventures featuring Caleb.
Although the film didn’t receive high praise from critics, it was more positively received by the audience. The determination to create a sequel will ultimately hinge on the viewership numbers and if the creators feel additional storytelling is necessary.
Although Disney has not yet released official viewership statistics, it doesn’t seem that “Creater” has been performing well as the movie was only trending on Disney+ for about 24 hours. However, without concrete data, it is difficult to determine whether a second movie will be greenlit.
Considering Disney’s track record of developing successful franchises, it is plausible that we may see a “Crater 2” in the future. Nonetheless, as there have not been any rumors or indications that another movie is in the works, we think the chances of a sequel coming out is pretty unlikely.

Following his father’s (Mescudi) demise, he is on the verge of a permanent transfer to a picturesque, distant planet. Yet, before this transition, he resolves to honor his father’s final wish. Together with his three closest friends, Dylan (Barratt), Borney (Hong), and Marcus (Boyce), and a recent newcomer from Earth, Addison (Grace), they commandeer a rover. This initiates their concluding lunar escapade, taking them on a quest to discover a cryptic crater.
