Earlier this week, it was reported that Lucasfilm’s Disney+ Original series “Willow” would not be returning for a second season. The series debuted on the streamer last November and concluded its run in January 2023.
Show creator Jon Kasdan has now responded to those reports on Twitter and has given an optimistic update on the fantasy series. Kasdan’s post says the decision was made to “release our main cast for other series opportunities that may arise for them in the coming year,” adding he feels “fairly confident that, if asked, neither I, nor the folks at Lucasfilm, would or have actually characterized their predicament as a full-on, final cancellation.”
