A casting search is currently underway for an actress to play a young Snow White in Disney’s live-action “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” film.

The DisInsider reports that The Telsey Office recently posted to their Instagram a casting breakdown for Young Snow White in the film. The notice reads as follows:

Actor to play female, 10, Latina. A young princess with a deep love for her family and the people of her kingdom. Naturally intelligent and compassionate, her parents teach her to always lead with kindness and generosity. Speaks with a Standard American Accent. MUST SING. DANCING A PLUS. SUPPORTING ROLE.”

Rachel Zegler has been cast to play Snow White in the adaptation and Gal Gadot will star as the Evil Queen.  It has also been rumored that Martin Klebba will play Grumpy.

Insiders say the live-action film will expand on the story and music from the original Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs animated movie which was released in 1937.  Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (La La Land, The Greatest Showman, Dear Evan Hansen) will write new songs for the movie.

Academy Award nominee Greta Gerwig is reportedly set to write the script and has already written the most recent draft of the movie.

Marc Webb (The Amazing Spider-Man) will direct the movie.  Marc Platt (Mary Poppins Returns, La La Land) is producing.

Filming for Disney’s live-action “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” movie is set to begin in March in London under the working title “Merry.”  A release date for the film has not been announced yet.
